Joburg born & bred, the second of seven siblings, and grew up in a religious Chabad affiliated home. My entire schooling career was spent at the local Chabad school. I spent 6 years studying in Israel which included a BA from Bar Ilan in Jewish history & Land of Israel studies. I currently teach Jewish History to high schoolers, have a side hustle dealing in vintage and collectable furniture & decor (Instagram @newvoucool) and help out family with a bit of property management. I am happiest in a body of water, love a good cup of coffee, spend most Sunday evenings dancing the tango and spend way too much time on social media. When not scrolling I am currently in the middle of at least 6-7 books, some of them purely for their ability to put me to sleep more effectively than pills.

Sara was a partner at Webber Wentzel, and cofounder and manager of the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra. Sara has been a mediator, arbitrator, and acting judge. She has sat on school governing bodies, the Governing Body Association and the ASHA (ECD) schools trust.

Tali Nates is the founder and director of the Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre (JHGC), a historian who lectures internationally on Holocaust and genocide education, memory, reconciliation, and human rights. Born to a family of Holocaust survivors, her father and uncle were saved by Oskar Schindler. Tali has been involved in the creation and production of dozens of documentary films, curated exhibitions, published articles and contributed chapters to books. She won many awards in South Africa and globally, the latest were the Goethe Medal (2022, Germany), the Secretary of State International Religious Freedom Award (2023, USA) and the International Network of Genocide Scholars’ Impact Award (2024).
