Course Summary

The Te Kaa In-person programme is our most comprehensive and most transformational option. Revised and updated in 2022, it comprises 4 full-day sessions at 2-3 week intervals, plus a 3 hour online session; and concludes with a graduation at a local marae. See the Documents section below for a full course outline.


In order to graduate as Te Kaa Amokura (alumni), we ask that you fully commit to attending all course sessions on the agreed dates and times; and being present and open to participating. With this in mind, please ensure the dates below and on the course outline (see Documents section below) are firmly locked in to your calendar.


A 50% deposit is payable on registration to secure your place, with the balance due by the 20th of the month before your programme starts.

    Jordan comes to Maurea with a blazing passion for all things kaupapa Māori. Despite growing up with limited access to te reo Māori, she has always known the immense value and importance of te reo Māori, te ao Māori and knowing who you are.

    Jordan has dedicated years towards undertaking professional and personal development in these spaces, and she looks forward to sharing her knowledge with our Te Kaa participants.

    Jordan regularly engages with and contributes back to her iwi through wānanga reo, kapa haka and karanga.

    With a varied background in television production, media accessibility and programme facilitation, she is incredibly proud and excited to converge these passions and skills to guide her mahi here at Maurea.
