Lwazi is a chemical engineer, energy executive and academic with extensive global experience in renewable energy, investments, advisory, environment, and water desalination industries. He is registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng.), with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), UK. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, where he is now the Director of the African Energy Centre at Wits Business School.

Lwazi has extensive Process Design, Business Development, Process Re-engineering, Project Development and Project Management experience. He is skilled in Project Finance, Business case development and research valorisation. He also has solid experience in policy and legislation, having worked with various government entities on Renewable Energy, Water and Environmental Policy development and implementation.

Gregor is an Associate Director based in London, leading Control Risks’ GHG and Natural Capital accounting for EMEA, which forms part of our wider global Environmental Sustainability Governance (ESG) consulting team. Gregor has more than 17 years of experience as a sustainability consultant. He has advised many high-profile clients across the world and help them measure, reduce and report their environmental impacts and help them build a business case for implementing sustainability in decision making.

Gregor has been working with clients across a range of industries from infrastructure, FMCG, chemical, pharmaceutical, financial and energy.

Predominantly Gregor is helping organisations understand the impacts of their operations, supply chains, products and projects by measuring their carbon footprint, identify emissions hotspots, set science-based targets, advise on the use of the most suitable carbon offsets, prioritise reduction interventions and develop net zero pathways.

In addition, Gregor is helping clients understand the importance of natural capital. By highlighting how companies depend on and impact ecosystem services, Gregor helps organisations identify and value natural capital and help them mitigate their natural capital related risks.

Before joining Control Risks, Gregor was with Arcadis and Anthesis. Gregor’s global experience includes projects in the UK, Europe, and North America.

Gregor holds MSc Environmental Economics from the University of York.

Sandiso Sibisi, is an innovator and entrepreneur, with over 13 years’ experience in technology consulting. She is the former Head of Open Innovation (Africa) at Accenture and has led tech implementations, data strategy, cost reductions assignments in the Consumer Goods and Financial Services sector. She is the founder of COOi Studios, an innovation lab for corporations. In just three years she has exponential grown the company in revenue year on year, servicing JSE and NYSE listed companies in Financial Services, Resources, Healthcare and Consumer Goods.
Amongst other accolades she is a Sustainable Development Goals ambassador, Mzansi’s 100 Inspiring and Aspiring Leaders, a Play Your Part Ambassador with Brand South Africa, an Inspiring Fifty Women in Tech and a Mandela Washington Fellow.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring Information Systems (Honours) from Wits University and has a Certificate of Social Entrepreneurship from INSEAD Business School. Sandiso is currently a Masters of Management- Innovation Studies candidate at Wits University.
