The Insurance Brokers Association of Uganda (IBAU) is a professional umbrella body which was established to ensure professional practices and ethics are maintained and practiced by all member companies in the delivery of insurance advisory services. The Association also lobbies other stake holders for policies and regulations which are internationally acceptable and conducive to both local and international insurance markets. Over the years IBAU has built a strong membership comprising of 57 incorporated companies which are licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda (IRA).
Amongst the licensed Insurance Brokers are multinational, regional and local insurance brokers who have the capacity to benchmark huge risks with international markets and also help the Government to verify the authenticity of multinational suppliers and service providers to Government entities. We have over the last 6 years evolved into a platform of knowledge sharing, networking and championing regional integration through the Annual Conferences.
