As an immigrant to the United States, Ms. Castor went through the legal process of immigration along with her parents at the age of eight. She attended court and was immediately attracted to the poise and style of the attorneys amidst the chaos of immigration court.

Later, at age 12, she was detained by immigration and separated from her mother in Puerto Rico on a return trip to the United States from Martinique. At such a young age, having experienced the feeling of helplessness without legal guidance and having recalled her earlier positive impression of attorneys helping others, she devoted herself to pursuing a legal career so as to represent people who needed a compassionate voice and sound legal guidance through unfamiliar and sometimes life-changing circumstances.

Soon after becoming a lawyer, she sought to join an intimate-sized law firm that would allow her to concentrate on partnering closely with clients. For fourteen years, she remained with that firm, gaining valuable legal experience and knowledge that allowed her to flourish in a multidisciplinary legal practice.


In late August 2022, Castor Law LLC was opened to the public, prepared to provide "Excellence in Service, Professionalism, with Proven Results." ​

Chief Assistant Prosecutor Ron McCormick is a dedicated law enforcement professional. Chief McCormick is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and received his Juris Doctorate and M.B.A. from Rutgers School of Law. He has been admitted to the practice of law in the State of New Jersey and New York and was a Law Clerk to the Honorable Sebastian Gaeta, Jr.
Chief McCormick has served almost twenty years as an Assistant Prosecutor and is now Chief of the Narcotics Task Force for the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. At the Prosecutor’s Office he has served in the Appellate, Domestic Violence, Juvenile, Grand Jury, Trial and Narcotics sections of the Office. He has prosecuted domestic violence, robbery, sexual assault, child abuse, and homicide crimes, among others. Chief McCormick has been recognized by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Criminal Trial Attorney.
