The Chief Executive outlined her vision in the 2021 Policy Address to build a liveable city that can withstand the crises of extreme weather brought by global climate change. Hong Kong's Climate Action Plan 2050 was published shortly after the Policy Address stressing the need to reduce carbon emissions to help reduce the risk of extreme weather in the next 20 to 30 years. Freeman will share with us an overview of Hong Kong's Climate Action Plan 2050 on what we need to do to tackle the problem of global climate change through the use of Climate Risk Assessment to improve our climate resilience.

    Freeman Cheung is AECOM’s Senior Vice President leading the environmental management practice in Hong Kong. He has more than 30 years of experience in air quality management and was the Project Director for the first Green House Gas Emission Control Study for EPD in 2000. He is currently the Environment Team Leader for the Development of NT North - Planning and Engineering Study for NTN New Town and Man Kam To. He also serves as AECOM’s in-house ESG Advisor, Vice President of HKIQEP and Director of HKIEIA and EMAHK.
