Ronald (Ron) Lewis is a recently retired, Army general who graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Ron has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College.
Ron has 30-years of senior executive experience in:

- Department of Defense (DoD) contracting and operations
Aerospace Industry

- Global Security

- Public Affairs

Ron spent most of his career working as a strategist, military leader, organization manager, and director of plans and operations. The organizations he led ranged in size from 30 to 20,000 personnel.

Much of Ron’s recent experience was at the cabinet level within the United States, Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions.
Ron is a proven strategic planner, team builder, change manager and public speaker. He has had comprehensive experience as a transformational leader and problem solver of complex and dynamic challenges.

Ron is a member of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and is currently enrolled in the LEAD Hampton Roads Signature Program.

Gwen Hurt is the founder of Shoe Crazy Wine. Prior to launching Shoe Crazy Wine, Gwen was an executive for a Fortune 300 Tech Company based in Asia. In 2013 hardship struck. Gwen
was downsized by the company in which she had spent 15 plus years and two days later was in a car accident. During physical therapy and rehabilitation, Gwen made the decision to “NOT”
succumb to her circumstances. She told her daughter Brittny “we are going into the wine business.” When a name was needed for her wines, Brittny said, “name it something you love”.
Gwen loved and was crazy about shoes.
In 2014, her two passions melded to become The Shoe Crazy Wine Company. And when Gwen couldn’t get a distributor for her wines, she made Shoe Crazy a wine distribution company.
For every “no,” she was determined to get a “yes” eventually. All her work and dedication have led to Shoe Crazy Wine now being available in VA, NC, PA, MD, SC, FL, GA, TN’ AL and MS with
more states to come. She has built relationships with several retailers including Food Lion, Target, Kroger, Total Wine & More, Walmart, Army Exchange, The Coast Guard, Navy
Exchanges, and many wine shops, liquor stores, and restaurants in the Southeast.

In 2021, after surviving the Covid pandemic shutdown, Gwen realized that she could continue to grow her company by pivoting to Spirits. She officially added six spirits, whiskey, vodka,
and ladies’ moonshines in 2022.

Perseverance, tenacity, faith, and family are paramount. Gwen believes in these core values.
