Dra. Gracia Shinta Ugut, M.B.A., Ph. DDean Faculty of Economics and Business at Pelita Harapan University
Dr Gracia Ugut has extensive experience in managing Higher Education institutions and international partnerships, with strong academic background as faculty member and business developer in academic settings.
She was the Dean-Executive Education at the Asian Institute of Management in Manila, the Philippines, from 2001-2013, and held full professor rank at the Institute for Finance and Banking. Prior to that, she worked as banker in multinational banking institutions in Europe and Southeast Asia. She is also certified trainer from Consultative Group to Assist the Poorest (CGAP-World Bank) for microfinance in Asia. She was serving as a Senior Advisor to the Board of CARD MRI, the largest Microfinance Institution in the Philippines, between 2005-2012 and Head of Panel of Jury of Arabia CSR Forum Award in Dubai, UAE, from 2008-2016.
Since returning to Jakarta in 2014, she has been working as the Dean of Universitas Pelita Harapan Business School. She served as Council Member of Global Education Council at the World Economic Forum (WEF) between 2015-2017. Currently she is heading the permanent committee for vocational education at Indonesia Chamber of Commerce (KADIN) for period 2015-2020.
Gracia Ugut earned her Ph.D in Financial Economics with latin honor summa cumlaude from Vienna University of Economics (In Austria) in 1995 under the North-South Dialogue Program, scholarship program from the European Union. She is married to Alexander I. Ugut, Banker and Credit Risk Management expert at the Asian Development Bnak (ADB) and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). She has two adult children.
