Event: Tools and Techniques for Audit Managers Workshop

This workshop provides audit managers with the tools and the skills necessary to manage audit teams successfully while exploring the life cycle of an audit from an audit manager's perspective.
The workshop will help participants examine and practice the skills needed to lead as a manager by learning how to supervise and develop an audit team, manage change, and effectively manage relationships with the audit team, the Head of Internal Audit, Executive Management, and the Board Audit Committee. Audit managers who attend this workshop will walk away with proven internal audit practices that can be immediately applied to an organization of any size and within any industry.
This workshop is designed for internal auditors with 6–10 years of experience who want to learn the concepts, tools, and techniques to enhance their effectiveness as audit managers.
The workshop will cover:
- Overview of the Audit Model.
- Overview of the Internal Control Environment.
- Audit Governance, Roles, and Responsibilities.
- The Audit Cycle: Audit Planning, Fieldwork, Report and Wrap Up.
- Quality Assurance and Improvement Program.
- Supervising and Developing Staff.
- Leadership Skills.
- Managing Change.
- Managing Relationships and Marketing Internal Auditing.
- Innovative Problem-Solving.
The workshop will be held on August 19-23, 2024, at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort, Naivasha. Charges are KES 65,000 and KES 70,000 exclusive of VAT for members and non-members respectively. Members in attendance will be awarded 20 CPE Hours.

The Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya is an accredited training provider with the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA). The NITA registration number is NITA/TRN/558(25b).
