Event Details

Agriculture is a booming sector in Laos. Cattle in particular form an essential part of Lao's plans for economic maturation and have been identified as a key area of growth. Agriculture has also been identified as a key area for investment by the Australia's Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040.

This event will unpack the opportunities presented in Laos, sharing expertise from the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, the Australian private sector, the government of Laos, and the Lao private sector.

The panel will unpack trends in the livestock sector across the region, highlight opportunities, and identify potential pitfalls.
