    1:45 PM - 3:15 PMLet’s throw a STEAM party! (full)
When students lost their interest and motivation to learn, can you turn a traditional lesson into a fun party to engage them in the joy of learning again? In this workshop, teachers are invited to help each other to design a learning party for their students on a difficult concept or knowledge they always feel frustrated about. Teachers will be guided to apply the design thinking process to gamify learning, develop, prototype and test ideas for any games or any other kind of activities that can be included in an innovative learning party.

    • Experience lesson planning immersively with the design thinking process.
    • Prototype with art and craft materials.
    • Inspire each other about how STEAM can be taught with unplugged activities.
    • Learn how to integrate other low-cost technology to reinvent learning.

3:30 PM - 5:00 PMBring Your Passion Back to Teaching!
As education professionals, it's easy to get drawn into the many requirements of our jobs and forget about why we got into education in the first place. When the learning objectives of the students, administrative forms overtake your passion for education and impact, fatigue and frustration can creep in, and work-life and life drift apart. What would it take to bring passion back to work? There is a movement called "Bringing one's whole self to work". During this workshop, we will do as much personal development as we will do professional development, connecting the teacher's passion, interest, or just curiosity at the centre of the learning experience. Educators will role-play and make props to prototype the experience of a different type of meaningful learning.
