Event Overview

COVID-19 has accelerated the speed, the scale and the imperative for change.

Join the Unleash! Summer School to find out how you can apply design thinking to address the challenges in the months and years ahead.

The pandemic has changed consumer behaviour, work and learning practices. It has called into question the sustainability of certain industries and businesses, and challenged our assumptions of what mankind really needs. In order to cope with the exceptional times, organisations have to learn, unlearn and relearn quickly. The crisis has also heightened the importance of essential 21st century skills like compassion, creativity and collaboration.

Design thinking is a proven and action-oriented problem solving approach that helps nurture 21st century skills and enable organisations to find new solutions to intractable problems. Sponsored by Create Hong Kong of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Hong Kong Design Centre will run a series of e-workshops this summer to introduce the design thinking process and tools. It is suitable for people with no or limited knowledge of design thinking, irrespective of your industry and professional background.

The e-workshop series comprises of 6 modules, totalling 16.5 hours. Experienced design thinking professionals will guide participants through the key design thinking processes and introduce the useful tools in each step, from needs finding to prototyping solutions. Participants can enrol for the entire series or opt for specific module(s).

Limited spots on a first-come-first served basis for each workshop. Act fast to avoid disappointment!
