In its second year, the UP Pride Film Festival remains true to its core purpose of striving to bring into light the queer realities as it is lived. UPFF passionately wishes to support filmmakers, both emerging and seasoned, to share their wonderful craft in order to forge a stronger connection and empathy to the struggle of the LGBTQIA+ community to be visible, heard, and understood. As we establish more adequate platforms, we aspire to continue the essence of our fruitful and progressive movement: a celebration of inclusivity, a labor for human rights, and a hope for a more equal and just society.

The UP Pride Film Festival will be held as part of the annual celebration of UP Pride on October 17 to 28, 2022, which will be implemented both on-ground and online. Exclusive to the on-ground screenings are exclusive talkback sessions with the filmmakers of the films for that set.

Other events of UP Pride 2022 include the UP Pride Opening, launching the entire month-long celebration, Equality Talks, realizing, supplementing, and actualizing the queer experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community through educational discussions, and the UP Pride Night, ending the celebration as a the culminating event that will showcase queer talent and brilliance.
