US-PECC 2022 Policy Forum

Promoting Inclusive Trade in the Indo-Pacific

In 2023, the United States will chair the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) organization, a trade-focused forum that recently expanded its long-term vision to include strong, balanced, secure, sustainable, and inclusive growth. Along with the Biden administration's launch of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, APEC provides an important platform for the U.S. to advance key priorities, including promoting inclusive growth for workers and businesses, advancing strong labor standards, and tackling climate change.

US-PECC's Annual Policy Forum is an important opportunity for members of the trade policy community - representing business, government, and academia - to share perspectives on opportunities to leverage APEC 2023 to advance approaches to trade and economic engagement that reflect the U.S. government's priorities and values as it aims to deepen ties with the most economically dynamic and fastest growing region in the world.
