SMART CITIES: THE DIGITAL FORMULATION OF THE NEW TOMORROW

12.10.2021 | 12:00-3:00 PM | via Zoom

The need for urban development is crucial in the challenges of the city of tomorrow. Cities have become the center of society's most pressing economic, environmental and social problems. Lack of mobility, traffic congestion, unhealthy lifestyle, and overpopulation are growing issues that have been prominent in various generations. Many solutions and initiatives have been justified to make the economy a better place yet it is still not enough to achieve an advanced, efficient, and sustainable future.

With the current situation at hand, new perspectives, ideas, and initiatives such as the creation of a "smart city" must be taken into account to eradicate these problems. Smart cities, also known as "eco-city", are evolving to be the urban landscapes of the future. Powered by utilizing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Internet of Things (IoT), this helps provide data and information to effectively manage resources to improve citizen well-being, reduce costs of businesses, and improve urban services. Smart cities leverage the idea of technological advancements to open new possibilities for a better quality of life in the long run.

This event is FREE for CCI Members and PHP1000 for Non-CCI Members. Participants can purchase a meal kit courtesy of Society lounge and The Tasting Club that will be delivered straight to your homes on the day of the event.

How it Works

General Guidelines:

Breakout rooms will then be utilized:

  • There will be 4 main breakout room sessions.
  • In each breakout room, participants will begin with introducing themselves (Name, Company, and Position)
  • Introductions will rotate throughout the group until everyone has had the chance to speak.
  • After 30 minutes, participants will be redirected to another breakout room wherein they will be introduced to another set of members.
