Vitalant, Arizona's largest non-profit community blood provider, is excited to announce the grand opening of their new Tempe Donor Center. The Tempe Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the ribbon-cutting ceremony with Vitalant on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 11:00 a.m.
Immediately following the ceremony, Tempe Mayor Corey Woods, Vice Mayor Randy Keating, and Tempe first responders will the first to give blood. They will be joined by Tempe's four most celebrated Century Club blood donors who have achieved lifetime donation milestones and have cumulatively given more than 2,000 times.
With the Vitalant grand opening, Tempe is now home to Vitalant's Arizona headquarters. The new state-of-the-art facility also includes their Southwest region components laboratory, hospital services distribution facility, donor care mobile operations, donor call center, and warehouse.
