As was discussed during our AGM that took place on Tuesday 19 March concurrently in Cape Town and in Johannesburg, a draft Memorandum of Incorporation was submitted by Fernando Lengert, from the lawyers' office SKLB.

The purpose of this new MOI is twofold:

• The proposed document takes into account the new specificity of the BCCSA, i.e. a national organisation, with a board of 8 directors with a Treasurer, to which the members of the local steering committees will be reporting;
• This MoI has been drafted to align the BCCSA with the South African Companies' Act of 2008, to which the BCCSA is liable as a CIPC registered company since 2019.

After giving our members the opportunity to comment on this document, now comes the time for its approval, by means of electronic vote during this session.
