She steers the BMCC’s robust network composed of 260 MNCs & SMEs, together with its associates and key stakeholders from both the private and the public sector. In her role, she drives her team to leverage business matching opportunities for the Chamber’s members, while providing a representative industry/sector voice to engage in purposeful public/ministerial dialogue with key government stakeholders.

She’s also the chief liaison for the BMCC Board of Directors, the Malaysian spokesperson for the bilateral chambers under the British in South East Asia (BISEA) faction. Jennifer also supervises the BMCC’s contract with the British government’s Department International Trade (DIT), whereby the Chamber serves as a platform for British businesses looking to export products & services to Malaysia and develop a presence in-market.

As a Chartered Accountant by training, Jennifer has enjoyed a versatile career in professional education and financial industries, including assuming the role as Head of Malaysia at ACCA for 5 years; honing her specialities in developing strategic partnerships, corporate branding and relationship management.

A Business Administration graduate from the University of Malaya, Sivasuriyamoorthy Sundara Raja joined Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) in 1989 as an Assistant Director in the Food, Beverages and Chemical Division. Over the last 30 years he had served in the Strategic Planning and Policy Advocacy Division, Investment Promotion Division and Incentive Coordination and Collaboration Office (ICCO).

Mr.Siva was posted to Germany twice to head MIDA’s office in Cologne (2006-2009) and Frankfurt (2013-2017). He was responsible to move MIDA’s office from Cologne to Frankfurt and to establish MIDA’s second office in Germany in Munich. As an overseas Director in Germany, Mr.Siva was responsible to attract foreign direct investments from Germany and the Benelux countries, namely Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Throughout most of his 30 years career with MIDA, Mr.Siva was involved in various projects on Malaysia’s industrial development, such as the 2nd and 3rd Industrial Master Plans (IMP), 8th-10th Malaysia Plans, Liberalisation of the Manufacturing Sector, formulation of investment incentives and policies under the Promotion of Investments Act (PIA) 1986 and Industrial Coordination Act (ICA) 1975, MIDA’s Computerised Information Systems (CIS), MIDA’s Empowerment as well as MIDA’s Restructuring exercise (2013). Mr.Siva was also responsible for the coordination of the Study on Exit Strategy for Foreign Labour Intensive Industries in Malaysia and the formulation of policies and guidelines for the Domestic Investment Strategic Fund (DISF) to accelerate the shift of Malaysian-owned companies in targeted industries to high value- added, high technology, knowledge-intensive and innovation-based industries.

Mr.Siva was promoted as the Executive Director (Post Investment) in March 2018 and moved to his current position as Executive Director (Investment Promotion) effective 1st November 2018.

Vishal is the Country Head of International Subsidiaries Banking (ISB) Business for HSBC Malaysia. In this role, he focuses on delivering best in class international banking solutions to multi-national clients in Malaysia. His goal for the ISB Malaysia business is to be the leading International Banking Solutions provider in Malaysia for commercial banking.

In his 21 years of banking industry experience, Vishal has accumulated deep experience delivering banking solutions to multinational clients across various sectors. He leverages his knowledge of international banking with his technology and regulatory insights to develop unique solutions for his clients. He is currently focused on ensuring support to companies impacted by the current economic fallout and supporting foreign investment in Malaysia. Prior to this, Vishal was the ISB Regional Head of Business Development responsible for bringing in new business to 19 countries in Asia Pacific by working closely with the subsidiaries of Large Corporate and Middle Market customers of HSBC’s Commercial Bank.

Kwang Gek is the country tax leader for Deloitte Malaysia. She has more than 20 years of experience in providing tax and business consulting services for local and multi-national corporations. She has led various projects involving restructuring of operations, mergers and acquisitions, incentive evaluation and applications, regulatory applications to various government agencies, the establishment of businesses in Malaysia and cross border investments.

Kwang Gek graduated from University of Malaya with Bachelor of Accounting and is a member of the Chartered Taxation Institute of Malaysia, Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Kwang Gek has been recognized as leading tax advisers in the 2017 – 2021 Women In Tax as well as in the 2018 and 2020 Guide to Leading Tax Advisers by International Tax Review

Ryan Chan is currently the Head of Business Development, Global Growth Acceleration Division at Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation Sdn Bhd (MDEC).

The Global Growth Acceleration (GGA) division at MDEC fuels high-potential Malaysian headquartered tech companies to skyrocket on the global stage through key interventions. Chan leads the business development initiatives and interventions, providing business expansion support to portfolio companies and developing business networks and "launchpads". In his portfolio, he has successfully led the team to design market expansion programmes and to build ecosystem networks in 12 countries to support the business expansion of Malaysian tech companies.

Prior to joining MDEC, he was the Chief Business Officer at ASX-listed iSentric Ltd where he built up the enterprise mobility business unit in the South-East Asia region. He also has entrepreneurial experience, having previously co-founded a company focusing on mobility solutions primarily serving customers in the e-banking and utilities sector. Before venturing on his entrepreneurial journey, he has held key business and technical roles in both local and regional software companies serving clients in the financial services sector.

He holds a master’s degree in business administration from University of Malaya and a bachelor’s degree in network computing from Monash University, Australia.

Stephen has spent and developed his experience in Project Logistics Management and Indirect Tax Consultancy for more than 10 years now. He has successfully managed together with his project team the various industry projects such as manufacturing plants; power plants; oil & gas related projects; hospitality & tourism projects and infrastructure projects located within Malaysia as well as the Asean Region. He has successfully worked on these projects together with his global project logistics partners and he also provides his indirect tax advisory to his various clients with substantial amounts of duty & tax savings realized for their entire project capex investments. He currently holds the position of Business Development General Manager in TIL.
