    Elizabeth is a certified leadership coach and the founder of DLP Coaching – Developing Leadership Potential, a firm dedicated to supporting individuals and organizations achieve their full potential. Elizabeth leverages 25 years of corporate Human Resources experience when partnering with her clients to facilitate transformative growth through practical measures that add real value. In addition to coaching, Elizabeth specializes in developing and delivering leadership programming that emphasizes real-world application and impact.

    Prior to opening DLP Coaching, Elizabeth led Executive Development for Southwestern Energy (SWN) where she had responsibility for executive talent efforts that included coaching, team culture and succession management. Work she led at SWN, on the topic of resilience, was a featured case study in the book, Work Without Stress (McGrawHill by Roger, Petrie). Elizabeth’s experience also includes time with Shell, where she was Vice President Human Resources, leading a global team with responsibilities for ~2000 clients in the Exploration, Technical and Health, Safety and Environmental functions. Also, while at Shell, Elizabeth was responsible for the diversity and inclusion function for the Exploration & Production business. In addition, Elizabeth worked with Nestlé at both their US and world headquarters, in Switzerland, driving effective talent management across the globe.

    Elizabeth has presented at various conferences, sharing her expertise on women in leadership, talent development and building resilience in the workplace. And, she was a featured speaker on Houston Public Media’s Career Frontiers program.

    Elizabeth is passionate about giving back to the community. She serves on two non-profit boards, Compudopt Houston and Impact100 Houston. In addition, Elizabeth is an active alumnae Hermana of Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc./Latinas Promoviendo Communidad Sorority, Inc., the first Latina sorority founded at an Ivy League university. She has also served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and Cookie Manager for several years.

    Elizabeth earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. She successfully completed Rice University’s CoachRICE program and earned the Associated Certified Coach credential from the International Coaching Federation. She has participated in various continuing education programs and is certified in numerous leadership inventories including EQ-I, EQ-i360, MyersBriggs, Birkman and DiSC. Elizabeth is the only US-certified facilitator for the program, Rise for Impact, based on the international best seller, How Women Rise (Hachette by Helgesen, Goldsmith).

    Dr. Lizette Ojeda is a Tenured Associate Professor at Texas A&M University, a Licensed Psychologist and Executive Coach. She is recognized for her evidence-based intersectional approach to help women leaders in STEM do their best work as their whole self without self-doubt or burnout jeopardizing their success.

    She was named Houston's Business Journal 40 under 40 and was honored with Fellow status by the American Psychological Association for her "outstanding and unusual contribution to diversity, career development, and mental health on a national level".

    Her work has been recognized by The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine and she has served on the editorial board of Journal of Career Assessment. She has presented and published her research in numerous outlets, including Journal of Career Development, The Encyclopedia of Positive Psychology, and The Handbook of Career Counseling for Women.

    Dr. Lizette Ojeda’s mission is to equip women in STEM with the tools they need to have more success, balance, and happiness without sacrificing their hard-earned career, personal life or well-being.
