Event Description:
The role of the Human Resources Committee (HRC) continues to evolve and become more complex. The decisions made by this committee are highly scrutinized and send important signals to stakeholders about the company's strategy and priorities. In this two-part webinar, we will delve into the key issues facing the HRC, leveraging Southlea's Human Resources Committee and Executive Compensation Toolkits, which are grounded in our extensive experience working with Canada's largest and most complex organizations. We will bring these toolkits to life through a series of real case studies highlighting some of the challenges faced by the HRC and sharing our lessons learned and techniques used to address them.
There are some unique aspects to the HRC, given that the main areas of oversight do not have the same standardized rules and processes as those found in committees such as Audit. Additionally, HRCs are dealing with emotional and personal topics (compensation, talent) that can have a fundamental impact on the business and its performance. In this session, we will explore the role of the HRC through a series of case studies addressing stakeholder preferences, governance issues, and other talent-related oversight challenges.
