WIEN Collegiate Mentorship with Rowena - Maiden Session

This is a dynamic group mentorship initiative in collaboration with Rowena Torres-Ordonez and the Women in Energy Network (WIEN) for the WIEN Collegiate Community, aimed at developing future leaders in the energy sector.

The WIEN Collegiate Community is a platform by WIEN specifically designed to connect and engage female students in tertiary institutions, encouraging their interest and participation in the energy sector. This platform fosters networking, mentorship, and professional development, enabling young women to build confidence, gain industry insights, and create valuable connections that support their future careers.

Through events, workshops, and outreach activities, the Women in Energy Network aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice, encouraging students to explore diverse opportunities within the energy value chain. This is part of WIEN's broader mission to increase female representation in the energy industry, promoting diversity and fostering the next generation of women leaders in energy.

WIEN is partnering with Dr. Rowena T. Ordonez to guide collegiate members through a structured program, combining technical and interpersonal skills critical for success in today's complex energy landscape.

This mentorship program will offer a collaborative learning environment where collegiate members come together under Dr. Rowena's tutelage on designated learning days (Every 3rd Friday of the month), following a structured timetable. Each session provides hands-on guidance, blending real-world problem-solving with essential skills like communication, teamwork, and self-advocacy. At the end of each session, students are given an activity to reinforce learning, with their performance graded to track progress and growth.
