Join this riveting fireside chat with two female founders that have successfully raised funding for their start-ups.
As of 2021, the global VC market was about $600 billion and only 4% went to women-led businesses. In Africa, we know that women are the major economic actors and make up the close majority of entrepreneurial activities. However, programme support and funding, especially in industrialisation and tech business, continue to be skewed towards men.
In this discussion, two women who are breaking boundaries and pioneering a path for more female tech founders to change the narrative, will share their journeys and experiences in raising funding. In addition, they will share tips to share with other female entrepreneurs going through the process.
Both these female founders are participants of the TechTribe Accelerator Programmes sponsored by the Small Enterprise and Development Agency (SEDA).
