Financial Counsellors may be the first point of contact for a woman contemplating reporting or fleeing a violent family member. Although there are many risk screening and assessment tools available, these are not often fit-for-purpose for Financial Counsellors. This makes it challenging to meaningfully screen for risk and act on any information given by a woman about the risk a perpetrator's behaviour poses.

Monica will talk about the risk response model which she has developed for the community legal sector and suggests some ways which this could be used in a similar way for Financial Counsellors.
