ACHASM promotes the services and skills of members to clients and the public:
This membership relates to the Construction H&S Officer (CHSO) registration with the SACPCMP. Members in this category can upgrade to the next level if you have evidence of change of level of registration. A discounted fee will be applicable if you upgrade to a higher level. You cannot be in 2 levels of registration like you can with the SACPCMP.
This is for the candidate CHSO registered with the SACPCMP. The member can upgrade to full CHSO if they pass the relevant exam.
This level of membership is for the PrCHSA category registered with the SACPCMP. Members are unlikely to upgrade from this level of membership.
This category is for the CanCHSA registered with the SACPCMP. The Candidate can upgrade membership if full registration is applicable prior to the new year. A discounted fee will apply if an upgrade is done at the higher level.
This category is for the registered CHSM with SACPCMP. Members can upgrade to one of the CHSA categories if this occurs. A discounted rate at the higher level will apply. You cannot have dual membership as you can with the SACPCMP.
This category is for the CanCHSM membership level. Upgrades can be done if the member has passed the appropriate exam with the SACPCMP. A discounted fee will apply if you apply at a new level. You cannot hold 2 levels of membership as you can with the SACPCMP.
This category is for those practicing in health and safety but are not necessarily in the construction sector. Upgrade is possible should this change.
This is for built environment practitioners who are registered under other categories across various councils, but do not necessarily directly practice in construction H&S. Members can upgrade if this changes. Please upload your documents so we know what category you practice in.
Full time students who are studying in the field of H&S, or practitioners in any H&S category that have retired. Please provide us with evidence/proof of same. For those retired, you cannot be earning any income from consulting in the construction Health and Safety field.
