Start Up business face many challenges many of which can seem very daunting. Through your chamber membership you will meet other members who have faced these challenges and succeeded. Our member share with each other the strategies and problems solving methods that worked for them and helped them grow their businesses, this sharing of insights and knowledge is very valuable to a start up businesses.

Our wider membership can also help connect your start up business to suppliers, distributors and specialist services such as legal and accounting. It is widely acknowledged that the Start Up sector of business brings its own unique challenges and many business people find this a particularly exciting yet challenging time, our chamber are here to help you navigate this journey. Start Ups cover all sections of business so too does the chambers services to this sector of our business community, including: sales opportunities, networking and business advice and assistance, we look forward to welcoming you to our businesses community.

Growing our Local Economy

Our Start Up Members provide employment, they offer new opportunities for services and suppliers to work with them. Through our start-up members new ideas come to fruition empowering our business community and in turn contributing to our local economic growth.

Through their Chamber membership they connect with other Start Up businesses and the specialist support agencies that are there to support your business. They receive the Chamber's support in ensuring their business voice is heard relating to support systems for Star Ups, fair taxation, service charges and other issues affecting a new and developing business. As part of the Chamber, your business will grow and so will the local economy.

Being a part of our Community

The Chamber offers our Start Ups the opportunity to connect to many of the voluntary groups, schools and community organisations in our county. We highlight the important contribution made by our Start Ups to innovation and idea generation and how this is essential for a strong community. Entrepreneurs speaking to students can be a powerful tool in encouraging those students to see if they too can drive a new idea. We connect our Start Up members when asked to the right school, voluntary or community group for them to share their experiences of their business journey. Through your membership of the Chamber, you will be supporting our local community to grow and develop.

• Connecting you to the right state service provider for your stage of business growth and or business sector
• Training, the majority of which is subsidised, our training is informed by our members so please let us know what you need and we will see how best we can accommodate you. Please see the training section on this website for more information.
• Educational Seminars are a good way to keep your knowledge base up to date. Our seminars cover all the key topics of interest and normally last half a day. Some of the subjects covered include HR, Mediation, Trade with other countries, Taxation and Leadership
• Business Sustainability Programme.
• Our B2B Network hosts 24 meetings in each year. On the website you will see the dates and venues. The purpose of our B2Bs is too help you grow and develop your business with the help and support of other like-minded business peopleStart-up Members.

The chamber provides a wide range of opportunities for members to promote themselves, their brand and their message.
