The Society of Gynecologic Oncology of Canada (GOC) is a non-profit organization consisting of physicians, nurses, scientists, and other health care professionals specializing in gynecologic oncology. Our purpose is to improve the care of women with or at risk of gynecologic cancer by raising standards of practice, encouraging ongoing research, promoting innovation in prevention, care and discovery, and advancing awareness. GOC also seeks to disseminate knowledge to practitioners, patients and the public on gynecologic cancer as well as cooperate with other organizations committed to women's health care, oncology, and related fields.
You are a gynecologist, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist or a pathologist trained or certified in Canada (or such equivalent acceptable to the Board) who: (a) has completed additional formal training as is acceptable to the Board and is relevant to the management of gynecological malignancies; and (b) is a member of a Division of Gynecological Oncology or formal cancer program which offers comprehensive cancer treatment, including radical pelvic surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.
You are a recognized physician who commits a substantial portion of their professional time to the advancement of gynecologic oncology but would not be eligible to be a Category 1 Member of the Corporation.
You are a nurse who commits a substantial portion of their professional time to the advancement of gynecologic oncology but would not be eligible to be a Category 1 Member of the Corporation.
You are an allied health professional or scientist who commits a substantial portion of their professional time to the advancement of gynecologic oncology but would not be eligible to be a Category 1 Member of the Corporation.
You are an individual who practices medicine outside of Canada and who: (a) has successfully completed additional formal training in gynecologic oncology, medical oncology or radiation oncology in Canada (or such equivalent acceptable to the Board); and (b) is recognized by their peers as having expertise in the discipline; and (c) is engaged in the practice of gynecologic oncology in a center outside of Canada, which is within an organized program of gynecologic oncology that offers comprehensive cancer treatment including radical pelvic surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, or such equivalent as may be acceptable to the Board.
You are a resident registered in a sub-specialty training program (fellow-in-training) in gynecologic oncology including surgical, radiation, or medical oncology and pathology.
You are enrolled in a recognized post-graduate training program in obstetrics and gynaecology, medical oncology, radiation oncology or pathology.
This GOC Emeritus/Honorary category is for those who are retired (emeritus) or have been elected by GOC to receive an honorary membership.
The IGCS member - physician category is open to all GOC Category 1 Member and Category 2 (MD) in good standing. You will need to pay for your GOC membership to access this special pricing. You will be charged in US dollars when selecting this membership category. Note that the full price with IGCS is US $289.
This category applies to physicians with an interest or a practice in colposcopy. You must be a member of the Society of Canadian Colposcopists (SCC). You are required to renew your membership with SCC first before adding this membership to your profile. Failure to do so will result in cancelling your membership in this category.
