Memberships

Student membership is available to any person registered with an institute of learning for which proof of registration for the year of membership is required. The reduced membership fee is designed to assist students in becoming members of a professional body at a time of edecuation and career development.

• 1 CPD point for being a member.
• Up to 0.5 CPD point for attending the AGM.

Ordinary membership is the standard membership offered by the Society to members of the public who are not students or retired persons and are active in the wetland field of practice.

• 1-year SWS International membership.
• 1 CPD point for being a member.
• Up to 0.5 CPD point for attending the AGM.
• Discounted rate for National Wetlands Indaba.

Premium membership is everything listed under Ordinary membership but also includes access to the Society of Wetland Scientists (SWS) international journal "Wetlands".

• Access to the journal "Wetlands".
• 1 CPD point for being a member.
• Up to 0.5 CPD point for attending the AGM.
• Discounted rate for National Wetlands Indaba.

Pensioner membership is available to any person over the age of 65 years. Please provide a copy of your ID document during the process of registration to ensure compliance.
