UROC represents Independent Waste and Resource Operators, who are one of the most dynamic and important sectors of the waste and resource industry, mainly small to medium sized enterprises that underpin the collection, treatment and recovery of waste as a resource.
UROC is the voice of Independent Operators and since its formation, as a not-for-profit organisation in 2012, it has been highly effective and successful in advocating for and communicating the views of Operators with great influence over decision making from grass roots to Government, Regulators and Legislatures.
UROC is primarily funded by membership subscriptions and its far reach across the whole of the UK is growing rapidly. UROC offers a host of key membership benefits to include; lobbying and working with Government to develop sustainable legal frameworks and guidance for industry, newsletters to keep members fully and regularly informed and updated, workshops and events on topical issues, as well as providing legal advice and comprehensive responses to consultations impacting the sector.
