The #RuralCollegeEquity campaign was created by Rural Schools Collaborative Intern Lisa Kennedy, a student at Georgetown University, originally from Rhinelander, WI. Through her involvement with Georgetown’s Laidlaw Undergraduate Leadership and Research Program, Lisa was given the opportunity to conduct independent research surrounding rural postsecondary access and a corresponding leadership-in-action project in collaboration with RSC.
The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness around the disparity in college-going rates of rural students, as well as to direct rural counselors, teachers, and students to relevant resources that may aid the postsecondary journey. To this aim, a toolkit was created with information and resources regarding the college application process, particularly using the Common Application. |

We are seeking partnerships with sponsors who share our vision and commitment. Together, with your investment, we will be able to offer rural educators a dynamic and impactful professional learning and networking experience. |
