Updates from The Rural Educator Editorial Team
Happy Fall! We've been busy at The Rural Educator this year, and we want to share some updates with you:
💻 First, you'll notice the journal is moving to a largely online-only format, though we'll still continue to mail print copies to libraries. This shift will give us more space to print full articles (including tables and figures) in our print version, while publishing full articles cohesively online. This will also give us the opportunity to be more flexible in our online publishing.
🏅 Second, thanks to Devon Brenner's indexing work, and to your citations of our published articles, Scimago now ranks TRE as a Tier II journal! We have had over 32,000 downloads of TRE articles since January 2024.
🌐 Third, we are working to update our website guidelines and email communications for reviewers and authors as we continue to improve our communications processes.
📸 Fourth, in addition to our presence on Facebook, you can now follow TRE on Instagram
@TheRuralEducatorNREA
🔍 Finally, we are always looking for new reviewers, and are especially in need of reviewers interested in reviewing mental health submissions and submissions by international authors. If you're interested, please provide your information here:

Many thanks from the TRE editorial team for your continued support of NREA's official journal!
