Director of Nursing Services at Averett University. I bring more than 35 years of academic and nursing experience to my position. Most recently I served as Assistant Professor/Clinical Coordinator at Hampton University School of Nursing in Hampton, VA. I received my Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from Hampton University in 2019. I started my nursing education at the Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans, LA. I continued my education by completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama and my Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Phoenix in New Orleans, LA. I am certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and have a passion for this nursing specialty. I am very excited about being a part of the team at Averett University and my role to bring highly qualified baccalaureate prepared registered nurses into the profession.
