Chris Wren, executive director of the British Chamber of Commerce (Britcham) in Indonesia, cited the efforts of Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States and Singapore to contain the virus.

“The consistent feature is that all those nations are being honest and open with their populations, setting politics aside and making difficult decisions such as cancelling social, sporting and business events,” he wrote in a text message.
