INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS CONFIDENCE INDEX 2020
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS CONFIDENCE INDEX 2020
In June 2019, we presented The Joint European Business Confidence Index 2019 survey report. This survey was created and managed by BritCham and in collaboration with EuroCham and the EIBN. It polls the corporate memberships of European Chambers and other business groups, as well as the expanded EIBN database. Sectors in focus are representative of interests of the respective Chambers. With a high percentage response rate, this represents a powerful overview of business sentiment of European businesses already invested and in market. It is used by our Embassies, our Boards, stakeholders both in Indonesia and home-countries. Of course, the output is also very useful to our Indonesian counterparts.

We are looking to further boost the survey’s relevance by capturing a record response level and are this time joined by the atlantic interests of the Castle Asia Group. Some questions are focused on some business planning and budget issues for 2021. We have deliberately delayed the 2020 survey to give respondents the opportunity to begin to assess some impacts of COVID-19. We will launch the full results to GOI at a formal virtual event in early November 2020. All respondents will be invited to attend.

Kindly notice that this survey will be closed at October 6, 2020.

The 2020 International Business Confidence Index is created and managed by BritCham in partnership with EuroCham and in association with European Indonesia Business Network (EIBN) and Castle Asia Group. Our survey partner is Nielsen.

BritCham Marketing Information Webinar: Keeping Your People Safe in an Uncertain World - Global 1st Tech
BritCham Marketing Information Webinar: Keeping Your People Safe in an Uncertain World - Global 1st Tech
| 30 Sept 2020 | 4 pm JKT / 10 am BST | RSVP

Speaker:
Martin Hogan, Founder & CEO of Safe Citizens

Relying on proprietary groundbreaking, global first tech, Safe-Citizens is the next gen. Public safety platform that enables Emergency Services or Enterprise Security Staff to better alert ‘at risk’ citizens and staff/students, manage incident sites, all remotely, all in real time and all without violating citizens’ privacy, based entirely on their location and proximity to danger.

The greatest limitations to current safety alert technology is that it is simply past its ‘sell by’ date. SMS messaging is character-limited, outmoded, easily contended, (often arrives late) and has been compromised. There is also no scope for further feature development.

Safe-Citizens platform is 100% digital, born in the cloud, secure, robust and consistent with future infrastructure investment.

All cities and regions are in the process of investing further in strengthening their digital estates, in speed and access, not in telephony (GSM), resulting in SMS becoming ever-more outdated, in turn, exposing citizens and visitors alike to ever-aging technology never designed for the job it is being asked to do. It is time to move on.

The Safe-Citizens platform is the future of public safety.

  • Nick Baker, Associate Director Technology & Cyber Practice at A.J. Gallagher

Indonesia’s digital economy is expected to contribute US$130 billion to the country's GDP in 2020, putting it well on track to become Southeast Asia’s largest digital economy. But as the country's digital capabilities expand, so businesses will become more vulnerable to cyberattacks.

Cyber-attacks disrupt manufacturing processes, harming supply chains and slowing production and labour productivity. In 2018 cyberattacks caused direct and indirect losses of up to US$6.7 million for large Indonesian companies and US$33,500 for mid-sized companies and these losses are likely to increase significantly in the years ahead.

This event gives you access to some of London's leading expert brokers and underwriters to discuss how cyber-attacks are evolving, the impact of COVID on the number and frequency of attacks and how the world beating protection and services that London Market firms offer could save your business millions of dollars.

Exclusive for financial and procurement decision makers and executives.

Cushman & Wakefield Releases 2020 Global Office Impact Study

Jakarta – September 28, 2020 – Cushman & Wakefield (NYSE: CWK), a leading global real estate services firm, released its first-ever Global Office Impact Study, projecting that the world’s office leasing fundamentals will be significantly impacted by the COVID-19 recession and the work-from-home trend, but they will ultimately begin to improve in 2022 and will fully recover 2-3 years later. The full recovery timeline is consistent with what was observed during the Great Recession, but at a slight lag due to the work-from-home trend. The report was developed by the firm’s newly organized Global Think Tank, a team of senior researchers and economists from around the world. The study analyzed the cyclical and structural changes impacting the global office market and the implications for recovery.
