GTCC’s 6th update on COVID-19: New Relief Measures for Companies in Thailand

The German-Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC) has been watching the situation of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak closely in order to fully support our members and partners. In co-operation with the Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI), we are pleased to share with you updated informatiton on the relief measures for companies in Thailand as follows.
New Tax deadlines
The Ministry of Finance, with the Revenue Department, has extended the tax filing and payment of tax returns only for corporate tax via internet systems. 

The eight forms are withholding tax Por Ngor Dor 1, 2, 3, 53 and 54, value-added tax Por Por 30 and 36 and specific business tax Por Tor 40.
  • Tax month: March-April 2020, to be submitted within 1 June 2020
  • May 2020, to be submitted within 30 June 2020
  • June 2020, to be submitted within 31 July 2020 
  • July 2020, to be submitted within 31 August 2020 
  • August 2020, to be submitted within 30 September 2020.
Work-related protests are forbidden
The Royal Thai Gazette announced a regulation forbidding employers and both Thai and non-Thai workers from participating in protests and strikes across the country. Employers and workers involved in any ongoing protests or strikes prior to this announcement must resume work immediately. Effective from 6 May and until the state of Emergency Decree is abolished.

  • The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) announced the extension of its inbound flight ban. All commercial flights into Thailand have been banned until 30 June 2020. (CAAT, 16/05/2020) More
  • China, South Korea, Hong Kong and Macau are no longer on Thailand's list of countries with high risk of Covid-19 infection. (The Nation, 16/05/2020) More
