Tay & Partners | ASEAN Data Management Framework & #MeToo |
The Data Management Framework is primarily designed to provide guidance based on best practices to private organisations and businesses operating within ASEAN Member States, particularly small and medium enterprises - to implement a data management system which includes data governance structure and appropriate data protection safeguards based on the purpose of data sets throughout its lifecycle.
The #MeToo movement started out as a way for survivors of sexual harassment and assault to feel that they are not alone, has evolved into a global social movement against all forms of sexual abuse. Whilst the availability of civil action is a breakthrough for victims who are subjected to sexual harassment, the Sexual Harassment Bill is still necessary to criminalise such unwanted acts.
