On 8th February 2022, the Chamber had the privilege of participating in a roundtable discussion hosted by the Economic Planning Unit (EPU). It served as a platform to contribute feedbacks, ideas and suggestions on the overview of Twelfth Malaysia Plan (12th MP) and key areas for public-private partnerships.
The Chamber was represented by Abrar A. Anwar, Chairman and Jennifer Lopez, Chief Executive Officer alongside 15 Sterling Members representing various industries; Aerospace & Defence, Education, Energy, Oil & Gas, Financial Services, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, and Healthcare to list a few - and colleagues from the Executive Office.
The Chamber would like to emphasise its commitment to playing its role as a facilitator and catalyst to such important engagements and are open to facilitate for councils, committees or working groups to bring matters forward in the interest of our member - and we call upon our members to join us at such engagements.

On 7th February 2022, the Chamber team visited the office of our member, Quartzelec Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam to engage for a catch-up session. The Chamber was represented by Jennifer Lopez, Chief Executive Officer and Roufizah Razali, Senior Manager Membership & Strategic Partnerships and were hosted by Matt Brown, Director & General Manager of Quartzelec Sdn Bhd.

On 8th February 2022, the Chamber was invited to attend the Selangor State Chinese New Year Dinner 2022 organised by Invest Selangor at Sheraton Hotel, Petaling Jaya.
It was a fun-filled evening, where we also had the opportunity for a photo-op with YAB Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari, the Chief Minister of Selangor and YB Dato' Teng Chang Kim, Selangor State Executive Councilor for Industry & Trade.

| Updated SOPs for COVID-19 Positive Individuals and Close Contacts According to Vaccination Status |

|
|
The Ministry of Health provided an updated SOP for COVID-19 Positive Individuals and Close Contacts according to vaccination status specifically on self-testing procedures and requirements for close contacts based on symptoms experienced by the close contact individuals. Refer to the infographic for detailed information.

| UK Government Removes Testing Requirement for Fully Vaccinated Individuals |
|
|
|
The UK Government made the following announcement on 11th February 2022 with the following SOPs:
- From 4am on 11 February, all testing requirements removed for eligible fully vaccinated arrivals and only a simplified passenger locator form needed, ahead of half term
- Arrivals who do not qualify as fully vaccinated will only need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test on or before day 2 after they arrive in the UK
- Changes come as children aged 12 to 15 in England can now prove their vaccination status or proof of prior infection for outbound travel with the digital NHS COVID Pass
