Malaysia Secured RM8.3 billion in Investment Commitments at London Tech Week 2023
image
We are excited to announce that the Ministry of Communications and Digital (KKD) of Malaysia together with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), achieved a significant milestone during the investment mission to London Tech Week 2023. Led by Minister of Communications and Digital, Fahmi Fadzil, the delegation successfully secured an investment commitment of RM8.3 billion across diverse digital technology sectors.

This achievement stems from:
  • MoU between MDEC and International Data Centre Authority (IDCA);
  • Partnership Exchange with Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC);
  • Partnership Exchange with UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC);
  • MoU between Sunway Group and wippd; and
  • Investment announcements by nine prominent companies in the United Kingdom namely Access Group, Dataswyft, TPP, Activpayroll, Ekco, Yondr Group, GBG, Hamilton Barnes, and MMOB.

This signifies the unwavering confidence of foreign investors in the robust framework of Malaysia Digital, a national strategic initiative driving the digital economy that is aligned with the vision of Malaysia MADANI.
