Dear Subscriber, Issue #186 - 3 Feb 2020 The UK has Left the EU After more than 3 years, the United Kingdom has officially left the European Union on Friday, 31st January 2020, becoming the first country to ever do so. In a public address to the nation, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson considers the EU-Exit as "not an end, but a beginning." There is now a transition period until the end of 2020 while the UK and EU negotiate additional arrangements. The current rules on trade, travel, and business for the UK and EU will continue to apply during the transition period. New rules will take effect on 1 January 2021. The UK Government has set up a page to ease this transition for businesses and citizens, with suggestions on what you can do now to prepare.
