MITI has revealed the process flow of the application for companies to continue operating during MCO3.


Note: At the time of circulation, the application portal is suspended due to technical issues. Systems are expected to be operating again tomorrow morning (Tuesday, 14 Apr). Please visit MITI's website for updates.

2. MITI: Approval To Operate Additional Sectors to Bolster The Economy Post COVID-19
The Cabinet has decided to allow several additional economic sectors to operate in phases on condition of strict adherence to health and safety guidelines.

The Government's decision is the result of findings from studies that indicate that the spread of COVID-19 would not only have a significant impact on health, but would also have detrimental effects on the economy and the well-being of the people, in particular, the SMEs which constitute the largest contributor to the nation’s workforce.

MITI has reviewed the additional sectors that are allowed to operate.

MITI has released their latest FAQ addressing the their latest announcement on allowing additional sectors to operate during the MCO. This includes dedicated FAQ segments for sectors allowed to operate, and Appendixes 1 and 2 covering the initial list of selected economic sectors and a list of critical product manufacturing sectors.

This FAQ has 4 main sections:
1. General Questions on Applications
2. Business Operations
3. Human Resource
4. Industry Specific Topics
