RACE TO ZERO CAMPAIGN The 26th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention of Climate Change, or COP26 for short, will be held in Glasgow, Scotland from 1-12 November 2021. The UK will host in partnership with Italy. As we build up to this landmark event, the BMCC is working with the British High Commission, Kuala Lumpur to encourage our members to commit to reaching Net Zero by 2050 by joining the RACE TO ZERO CAMPAIGN. Launched by the High Level Champions for COP25 and COP26 back in June 2020, this initiative will be backed by the largest ever alliance of businesses and non-state actors committed to reaching Net Zero by 2050. Thousands of businesses have already signed up along with cities, regions and universities. It already represents over half of global GDP and covers nearly a quarter of CO2 emissions. For more information please visit this website. - Your organisation has already joined this global initiative OR
- Your organisation is interested to know more about this campaign and keen to join.
It would be fantastic to hear from you! We would be forming an interest group on sustainability in 2021, as we would like to work together with our members to multiply the impact of our work to mitigate climate change, as COP 26 draws close. If your organisation is keen to join this interest group, please contact Hafiz too. We look forward to your participation. |
