BMCC-Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Webinar |
Women in Leadership

“Twenty-five years since the adoption
of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action,
progress towards equal power and equal rights for women remains elusive.
No country has achieved gender equality,
and the COVID-19 crisis threatens to erode the limited gains that have been made."

- UN Secretary-General António Guterres,
as quoted in The World’s Women 2020 report

#ChooseToChallenge is the theme for International Women's Day 2021. As the world comes together to honour the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women this March, we are also reminded that we are the creators of our own reality and responsible for our own thoughts and actions. We can choose to challenge gender bias and inequity, and help create an inclusive world.

World-renowned feminist, journalist and activist Gloria Steinem once said, "The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organisation but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights."

In celebration of IWD2021, the BMCC and Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia are proud to present the Women in Leadership webinar to inspire, empower and advocate women leadership. Join our vibrant panel of amazing women leaders as they engage in a lively discussion on how we can help forge a gender-equal world, and applaud when parity in income, status and visibility is achieved.
