Join Us for an Exclusive Digital Conversation with Surina Shukri, Chief Executive Officer of MDEC
The world economy is increasingly being driven by digitalisation. Quick and convenient online experiences have come to characterise consumer behaviour by and large. On top of this, the COVID-19 pandemic has amplified the importance of the digital economy as a driver of economic activity when the world was brought to a standstill.
To ensure that no Malaysian is left behind in the wave of digitalisation, the country requires a holistic transformation towards an advanced digital economy. MyDigital, the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint, was launched by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in February this year to chart the growth trajectory of the country's digital economy development. The blueprint comprises action plans which adopted a whole-of-nation approach to complement the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) and the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030.
Aimed at empowering and improving the lives of every Malaysian, MyDigital will also serve as a digital transformation direction plan to help the business sector compete on the global arena by enhancing expediency and efficiency of their operations.
Sign up for BMCC's exclusive webinar featuring Surina Shukri, CEO of the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), to find out more about Malaysia's aspirations to transform into a digitally driven, high income nation and a regional leader in digital economy, and MDEC's role in this transformation.
Topics of the conversation will include: - MyDigital Blueprint; MDEC’s critical role and initiatives in driving the digital economy in Malaysia.
- Opportunities in digital investments – collaborations between private and public sectors; local and international partnerships.
- Supporting SMEs in the e-commerce markets.
- How businesses can support and play a role in MDEC’s digital transformation agenda and aspirations.
