MOT Logistics Approval Letters Will Continue To Be Issued by MOT via SMILE
In a MOT media statement dated 31 May 2021, it was announced that MOT logistics approval letters will continue to be processed and issued by MOT via SMILE (Logistics Industry Information System).
This will apply to those involved under the logistics sector only, which includes air and maritime transportation, courier services and warehousing. Other sectors can access the submission for approval to operate via CIMS 3.0.

MIDA Operates Virtually during MCO
MIDA HQ will remain open virtually and offer services and facilitation through various virtual channels during the MCO. Businesses are encouraged to leverage the available technology tools for communication such as emails or virtual meetings/consultations. More details on contact channels here.
PM Announces RM40b Pemerkasa Plus Financial Aid Package
In a televised address on 31 May 2021, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced a RM40 billion aid package Pemerkasa Plus inclusive of RM5 billion direct fiscal injection, to help the people as well as tackle the economic impact of the two-week total lockdown.
The aid comprises 12 initiatives to carried out based on three main objectives, namely, enhancing public health capacity, the continuation of the Agenda Prihatin Rakyat and supporting business continuity.
Among others, the government has allocated another RM1 billion to increase the capacity of the nation's healthcare system and additional cash and credit assistance for affected individuals and businesses.
