Malaysia's Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry Leads Investment Facilitation to Drive Malaysia's Prosperity
image
The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) remains dedicated to advancing investment opportunities with high growth potential. Malaysian Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz emphasised MITI's commitment to supporting potential investors and streamlining project approvals through the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA).
Furthermore, the Project Implementation and Facilitation Office (TRACK) at MIDA is unwavering in its pursuit of a seamless project implementation process, fostering a more prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable Malaysia.

To enhance administrative efficiency, the Malaysian government has introduced the Investment and Trade Coordination Action Committee (JTPPP) under MITI. Tengku Zafrul, in his role as MITI Minister, chairs this committee, which includes permanent members from the Finance Ministry, the Economy Ministry, and MIDA. Additional ministries, agencies, and representatives from state governments are slated to join as needed.

Tengku Zafrul also underscored that the JTPPP will regularly report the progress of investment projects signed during foreign working visits to the National Investment Council and the media.

Notably, the recent trade and investment mission to China, held from 29 March to 3 April 2023 is poised to bring potential investments estimated at RM170 billion into Malaysia's economic landscape.

BMCC readily shares MITI's unwavering commitment to facilitating investments that are set to drive Malaysia's growth and prosperity.

Courtesy Call to The Education Malaysia Global Services

The British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce is grateful for the courtesy meeting with the CEO and senior representatives of Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS).
The productive discussion encompassed how the Chamber and EMGS could support one another in promoting the education sector in Malaysia on a global stage, as well as devising a means to develop Malaysia as a destination of educational prestige to attract international students to the country.

In our discussion, we also explored potential collaborations, especially by connecting EMGS with our Higher Education Committee. With this partnership, they could engage with our valued members in key areas such as student passes, providing internships with international students, and Malaysian student mobility programmes.

The BMCC had the privilege to meet with CEO Novie Tajuddin; Ramlan Abd Aziz, Director of International Student Management Services (ISMS); Esther Low, Director of Marketing; Syed Mohsen Alkaff, Head of Stakeholders Management; Nur Fadhilah Mohammed Noor, Senior Manager of Branding; and Afif Sabri, Manager of Finance and Accounts.
