Malaysia Drafts Higher Education Plan for 2026-2035 |
|
According to Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir, the forthcoming plan will outline the national higher education direction, aligning it with the latest technological advancements for the next decade.
“With the needs of a digital world and industry-based education, we need to prepare early and determine the direction of the national higher education for the next 10 years.”
The minister emphasised the importance of making the plan adaptable from various aspects in order to meet the demands of the digital world and industry-based education systems. Additionally, the ministry is conducting several engagement sessions with stakeholders and target groups to ensure the plan is comprehensive and inclusive.
During a recent advisory committee meeting, a group of experts provided their insights and presented a brief summary of the strategies, needs, and challenges that need to be addressed in the plan.
In an effort to holistically collect information, the ministry encourages public participation in shaping the Higher Education Plan. The public can contribute their ideas and views through a national survey currently being conducted, which can be accessed through the button below.

The Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) will be hosting a series of training sessions on Green Practices for the Industry, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of local manufacturers, producers, suppliers, distributors, and service providers to meet the demands of both local and international markets in alignment with the National Green Technology Policy. These training sessions will delve into the significance of sustainable practices within the industry, emphasising their role in promoting environmental and social responsibility.
This 1-day training focuses on developing local companies and entrepreneurs embarking on green businesses. The course will guide participants through the process of assessing green practices, focusing on key sustainability indicators relevant to organisation operations and facilitating the development of green products and services including standard requirements, regulation compliance, and access to financing facilities on green practices.
