In line with the BMW Group's 2050 climate neutrality target, BMW Group Malaysia has partnered with local sustainable solutions provider, Pentas Flora Sdn Bhd, as part of our RE:GENERATE programme to implement circularity within the organisation. A long-time customer of BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, Pentas Flora's expertise in end-to-end solutions for hazardous waste management has given waste oils and lubricants from our BMW dealerships a second life through their sophisticated re-refinery process. Over 30,000 litres of waste oils and lubricants have been collected from our participating dealers thus far and sent to Pentas Flora’s re-refinery plant to be turned into re-refined eco base oil (EBO) that were then channeled back into the automotive sector. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between both parties recently - represented by Matthias Schlesiger (CEO of BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia), Hans De Visser (Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia) as well as Chai Heng Ng (Technical Director of Pentas Flora). It was held in conjunction with a roundtable discussion on ESG - hosted by BMW Group Malaysia and Pentas Flora, which saw sustainability leaders in discussion such as Rizal Kamaruzzaman (Executive Director of Tindakan Strategi) and Renato Lima de Oliveira (Assistant Professor of Business and Society at Asia School of Business) on the panel. #BMWGroupMalaysia #PentasFlora #REGENERATE #Circularity #Sustainability #ESG
