Thank you for your interest in serving on an expert panel to review a research instrument designed to capture perceived competence of rural high school STEM students with regard to information literacy. We believe the last few years of high school are critical with regard to preparing students for postsecondary pursuits and that information literacy is an essential skill with value in all postsecondary options (i.e. college/postsecondary education, military, or immediate entry into the workforce).
To validate the content of our research instrument, we seek to identify individuals from the secondary, postsecondary, and information literacy/library fields who will provide feedback regarding the clarity and relevance of the instrument we have designed. Feedback will be used to adjust this survey before we begin collecting data.
