Net Zero and the Green economy are pillars of the Northern Ireland economic development strategy, and as such Northern Ireland has emerged as United Kingdom’s leading region in the adoption of new strategies and technologies in the areas of green hydrogen production & infrastructure and decarbonization of the grid and industry. This has added to the region’s traditional strengths in sustainable water management, onshore and offshore wind, electrification of heat, low carbon retrofitting and green & advanced transport.
