05/02/2024

Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park has welcomed Mr. Chakkapan Phewngam, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, to learn about the hotel’s pioneering role in waste management and sustainability.

On 26 January 2024, Khun Chakkapan was greeted by Mr. Simon Bell, the hotel's General Manager, who introduced the Deputy Governor to the waste management program in its Cube garden building, which includes a highly efficient waste separation system. The hotel also adopts an industry-leading food waste management program and a farm-to-table culinary concept with organic rooftop gardens, as part of its comprehensive sustainability policy.

Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is the only hotel to have been selected as a role model for waste management in Bangkok's Klong Toei district.
