Over 200 incarcerated individuals are pursuing higher education this spring semester through a groundbreaking partnership between Southeast Community College (SCC) and the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS). Director Rob Jeffreys and SCC President Dr. Paul Illich celebrated this collaborative effort by signing a Memorandum of Understanding. The program, UPWARD (Unlocking Potential With Academic Resources and Development), offers an Associate of Arts degree with plans to expand to Associate of Applied Science degrees in various fields.
